Plans will finally be submitted this week (W/C 12th March 2012) for a £500k new build ECOHOME in the Chorley area, built to Code for Sustainable Homes level 6, following months and months of planning talks to ensure the project runs smoothly.
This exciting new dwelling will enable the applicants to live completely Carbon Neutral and pretty much independant of the outside world, producing their own electricity, rainwater harvesting, Ground Sourced Heating and small holding food produce including livestock. There is even talk of producing fuel for the vehicles by Rapeseed fertilization methods – FRUGAL TO THE Nth DEGREE!
Pretty interesting to say the least and we are honoured to be part of the experience, this house should be one of the first in the North West built to such exacting high standards and once functional will be an inspiration to many. We’ll keep you posted during the construction phase with live progress.
Plenty of other projects on the go, this must be our busiest Winter period to date and we’re not grumbling!! Bring the projects on!!!
